INDONESIA from May 2007 to June 2008

Indonesia is one of my absolute favorite countries in the world. This was my third teaching post, which gave me a chance to spend a whole year to explore the islands, the food, the language & learn about their culture first hand through new local friends.

Hidden treasures abound in this geologically rich area of the world. From time travel at Lake Toba & Borobudur to opulent beach stays in Bali, Lombok & the Gili islands to art and cuisine mecca Yogyakarta and a secret diver’s paradise in Raja Ampat - there is something for every type of adventurer. And the food! A spice lover’s dream come true….
